Good for you, TDW! I think getting out and about is probably better for a person than the indoor machines we may use at home. It stimulates a lot more of our brain to be out and doing things. I'm glad you like your new machine though and hope that it helps that getting started goal you've been working on.

Yep, it's Friday and I'm just making my Monday post about last week.

Exercise wise, I'm doing pretty good. I go to rehab three times per week and work about an hour on different machines. My PT just gave me some new leg and hip strengthening exercises today which will lengthen my routine a bit. I'm making progress - I can make the pedals of the recumbent bike go round and round almost constantly for about 10 minutes now. I have to shift my poor right foot every revolution to get it to stay on the pedal but it's an improvement. I'm doing hand weights, the nu-step and the weight machine (upper body stuff) plus walking the track two times in a row. I would like to get to three times but it feels like I'm never going to get there.

Last week was a little crazy on the diet. I had a lot of negative thoughts about how badly I was doing and had pretty well convinced myself I'd totally screwed up the week, until I got around to reviewing my charts on Wednesday morning. I did have a couple less than great days but honestly, even they weren't that bad. It was just that I had been grazing a little and ate a bit more than I really needed to.

I'm continuing my exercise and eating goals. I'm still working at being more active on days I don't go to rehab. I think I made 2 additional days of activity last week, I want to get to three.

Last week went well, got new better exercise machine, far less noisy, smoother, more resistance is possible, so I made my exercise goal.

This week has a lot of activities outside, so I don't know if I will get any exercise done in addition to that, but since I count outside activities as exercise that is ok.

I also moved back and forth below my previous minimum weight, so I might be coming out of a plateau, not that weight in itself is so very important, but I also feel a little bit better, spring is coming too, if only it would stay put now...
