Today was Dr. Endo day – I get all kinds of gold stars. Dr. Endo really makes me giggles sometimes, too. He said when he sat down that I was going to like my numbers – he had “cheated” and looked at them before he came in.
In the past 3 months, I’ve lost 45 pounds and decreased my a1c from 8.4 to 6.4. I’ve cut my metformin in half and decreased my levemir by over 1/3.
Next week is the surgery and I hope to keep making good progress. This feels a whole lot better.

6.4 sounds really good, dunno what the range is supposed to be though, but I suspect it will keep falling as your damaged hemoglobin gets replaced with fresh ones, that takes a long time, and I see the weight loss is still going 5 more pounds in roughly 18? days is good I think. Most people would be happy if they managed just 2 pounds a month I think.
I hope surgery will go smoothly and that you won’t get anything hindering keeping up the amazingly good work you are doing and have done, I also hope that your body will cooperate. But I think it will, since it must feel a whole lot better now, and hopefully will keep feeling better and better.
