Here it comes…

Summer is here with a vengence in Tucson.  Vengence in the form of a broken air conditioner and temps in the 105+ range.  Just days ahead of our annual monsoon beginning too.  Heat is one of the hardest things for me… I get so lethargic and moody.  Anyone else do poorly in the heat of summer?  What’s it like where you are?

  1. well heat dosent affect me much except at night when i am trying to sleep.
All i have are ceiling fans :D

I hope it cools down for you Phaltz :D

  2. That is just too freaking hot. It’s really only around 90°F here but the humidity is about 800%. I don’t wanna go outside!

  3. Well, here in southern Idaho we live in the desert, much like Tucson. However, we are high desert – above 5000 feet, so our temperatures are a bit lower. We have a day or two of 100 degree temperatures most every year, but generally our summertime highs range between 75 and 95. I live in the basement, so remain nice and cool. The kids upstairs open everything up at night and during the early morning to let in the cool air, then close up the curtains and the windows to keep out the heat for the rest of the day. They have ceiling fans in the family room and window fans in the bedrooms.
