Ok I am going to try to recall my trip and post every so often.
I arrived in San Fran and caught a shulte bus to the hotel
and thats when I missed judged the last step and stuffed my knee.
So i spent a lot of time at the ‘coffee shop’ , as shown in the photo, meet with friends for lunch one day and look around near Union square.
20 years ago Union Sq was a grassy hill and now its a paved area (see photo)

The story continues………………………………
I was picked up by a friend from the hotel and moved location to Half Moon Bay. It was a pleasent 40 min trip, south of San Fran and I did remember some of the area from 20 years ago and there were some changes.
Road improvement, a tunnel was under construction etc
I was shown the area and vist the town of HMB for the first time so did a bit of shopping and visited a coffe shop.
Site seeing was the order of the day with a day trip to Point Lobos where we had lunch. The photos include the ruin of a famous bath house that was burnt down and never rebuilt.
And some of the beaches were visted too.
Another day was spent in San Jose , a shopping center , where i visited a game store that supplies myself with figures that I play games with. (note to self , get some pics of it)
Nights were spent either going out to dinner or eating in.
. Which was great.
One day we went to the habour and bought a fresh salmon
Well thats about it for the week i spent there
Next stop was Philidelia.

opps i made a mistake the next stop was Bakersfield where i spent 4 days visiting a friend. I had meet her on a hoilday in Thaiti in the late 70’s and remained in contact ever snice.
I went to a BBQ, and her kids scocer matchs, which was quite.
then I went to Los Angles CA. I did a night tour of the highlights and bou how LA has chanaged for when i was there 21 years ago.
I visted a tourist shopping area near Univeral studio . 20 years ago the area was bush. So things have chanaged a hell of a lot.
NOW its off to philidelia

The Story continues………………..
I made my way to Philli via Ohare int airport. I think the airports workout your connecting flights and makes sure you have a very long way to walk to it.
I stayed at The Ritten House, a very old dacore style, and did a bit of walking around it. I didnt do any of the toursit things , just spent time with my friend.
I had also meet her in Thati so long ago.
Her and her son lived in one of the old suburbs which ones sees in the old movies. Run down but being renovated.
Well now its off to see Zaz and once again, my plane fight goes thru Ohare.
More pics of my hobby, a game that was played sat the 12th of jan.

That looks like a convention style game. You don’t usually play with that big of a table, do you? Did you win?
By: Zazzy on January 12, 2008
at 6:03 pm
That was a special game and yes its a lot larger than the ones I play on
That was a 12′ x 8′ Playing area, normaly we use a 6′ x4′
table.
The game ended in a draw

We went to 3 shows,
The Lake curise on a showboat, with a show of course. Manly song and dance numbers.
‘The spirit of the dance’ a River Dance stlye show.
‘The chinesse acrobats’
All the shows were great and fun was had by all.

Well Springfield was fun. Just to add a bit more , the hotel I was in had a minor fire and had to be evacuated.
Well lets see what did we get up too……
. Drove around the caves in a jeep train.
Hmm first there was Wall Mart…
A small War musem which had some intersetin exhibts
then Wall Mart
One evening went to a ” Dueling pianno Bar” which was very interseting and the nite was pretty ‘blue’.
And then there was Wall Mart
Visited the ACW battlefield which i really enjoyed. (see Pics)
once again Wall Mart…..
Went to the caves, then time going to take my camera
and then once again Wall Mart
Well I liked going to Wall Mart.
Well thats was about it for Springfield and now its off to Bulter ( near Pittsburg)
I have updated my pic in Home and Hobbies
I had friend visit me from Melbourne and so i took a few shots

I like your sister’s quilt. She did a good job. That’s a lot of work.
I rather like Wal-Mart, too. I like that I can get just about everything I need without going to a bunch of stores. One-stop shopping is a good thing.
