My girlfriend couldn’t attend our class reunion, she hurt her back and was in a lot of pain that evening.
Our former classmate,Dieter, who organized the reunion, sent her one of the booklets he put together for the reunion with photos from our six years together in elementary school. Also photos from our class trip, where we spent two weeks in the mountains in a youth hostel. When she called him to say thank you,he asked her for my address.
Yesterday I was surprised and very happy when I received the first of several class photos, today several more arrived.I was going to post one of the photos, but can’t.He sent it as a Microsoft Word Document because of all the classmates names under the photo.( I will try if I can copy just the photo though.)
When I wrote a thank you note to Dieter,I included the link to nice music from Germany, which I enjoy listening to on the computer.

Dieter wrote back, the disc jockey’s name is Matthias ( Matthew ) and a friend of his. It’s a small world after all !

It is, indeed, a small world. When we lived in Phoenix I met several people who were connected with someone I had known back in Idaho, or had come from the same small town.
I had to check out the German radio. It’s wonderful. I heard a country song that I quite enjoyed. As nearly as I could tell from my “bischen” of German the man was singing of his father and mother as they aged. Quite touching.

Small world stories always astound me. When I moved to Wyoming, my best friend’s pastor’s wife was from my high school back in Missouri. Weird stuff sometimes.
